Whatever your pursuit is, just enjoy it to the fullest. It doesn’t have to be performing, recording, writing, improvising, or it can be any and all of everything you want! Just don’t get so caught up in what others are doing that you forget your own journey. Love whatever you’re doing when you’re doing it, and if you aren’t loving it, try something new and be patient with yourself. And as always, keep on playing. Happy hump day!!

Hot diggity I love performing!! It gives me life and sparks so much that can only truly occur in performance/improvisation mode. Here is a bass solo I did with , covering the tune “Sideways” by Citizen Cope this past Saturday with Undertone at Black Draft Distillery in Martinsburg, WV. Hope you all enjoy it as much as I did!

I’ve been working with the RC-600 looper for a little bit now and I am having so much fun with this thing! It has so many functions and room for layering. Hope you guys enjoy this as much as I did, and as always, thanks for watching and happy Friday!

Mr. Sir, my duo with Stefan Edward had another fun show at Amani Brewing this past Sunday. Here is a fun bass solo I did on our cover of Jack Johnson’s tune “Flake”. I hope you guys enjoy as much as I did! Please forgive the crowd noise!

I have so much fun with Stefan Edward it’s not even funny! Here’s a clip from a bass solo I took on our cover of “Rocket Man” by Elton John when we performed at Amani Brewing on Friday August 21st. Hope y’all enjoy as much as I did!

Our whole culture has shifted. It feels overstimulating, superficial, and hyper-fixated on the finished product and getting there as fast as possible. I’m not saying everything sucks, but in this way of living, people continually find themselves depressed, anxious, and burnt out. It is so much more important than ever to take a step back and realize that not only must we enjoy the journey to whatever destination we seek, but that the destination is illusory and the journey is all we’ve got. Take care, friends, and happy hump day.

Had a blast performing at Amani Brewing with past Friday. It’s fun to take leads on the bass while my bro holds it down as he does so well. Here’s my love solo on our cover of Paul Simon’s “Call Me Al”. Happy Monday y’all!

Finally pulled the trigger on getting a new looper. It’s been so long since I had one and I decided to go with a brand new RC-600. This thing is incredible out of the box, and I’ve made a small clip to show you guys part of my test run. It’s clean, functions amazingly, has a light-up tempo feature that allows for easy time keeping, and the MIDI ports allow for ease of use working with the DAW of your choice. Hope you guys enjoy this little demo!

“Bloody Stream” is an incredible tune by the band Coda, featured in the anime, “Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure”. Every part of this song contains scrutinizing detail, and it took a little while for me to transcribe it, but here is a clip of the chorus. I’ll have a full version on my YouTube shortly. Hope y’all enjoy, and happy hump day!

The word LISTEN contains the same letters as the word SILENT. All too often, we get caught up in wanting to learn things too fast. Do not be fooled, there is no fast track when it comes to music. Whether you’re learning a new song, jamming with friends, or writing a part, listening is the number one skill that will take you from zero to her, no matter the musical situation. If you can’t hear it, chances are you can’t really play it. With an open mind, an open heart, and open ears, you got this!
