2023 – Black Resistance

African Americans have resisted historic and ongoing oppression, in all forms, especially the racial terrorism of lynching, racial pogroms, and police killings since our arrival upon these shores. These efforts have been to advocate for a dignified self-determined life in a just democratic society in the United States and beyond the United States political jurisdiction.

By resisting Black people have achieved triumphs, successes, and progress as seen in the end of chattel slavery, dismantling of Jim and Jane Crow segregation in the South, increased political representation at all levels of government, desegregation of educational institutions, the passage of Civil Rights Act of 1964, the opening of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History in DC and increased and diverse representation of Black experiences in media. Black resistance strategies have served as a model for every other social movement in the country, thus, the legacy and importance of these actions cannot be understated.

🚨 Transparent Post 🚨

This time last year we were recovering from having Covid for the first time and drawing up our business plan.

We Had
⭐️Our business plan done ✅
⭐️Filed for our LLC ✅
⭐️ Brought our podcast equipment
⭐️Had our topics planned for the ENTIRE year done ✅
⭐️Starting preparing our Merchandise to sale ✅

And then we launched and .
We were dedicated, consistent, and enthusiastic to put content out.
The first 6 months of the year was great for content and then we fall victim to not seeing the number of downloads on current episodes and having anxiety that our content wasn’t good enough to be put out.
We have numerous episodes recorded, but we never uploaded them and had different opportunities but never followed through.

Why are we posting this? It is important to talk about the other side of podcasting. The one that some of us battle with, when putting content out. We have certain expectations and when they aren’t achieved, then it feels like why are we doing this? Everyone says to keep going but how long do you keep going?

The key is to not give up. Experiences are meant to be shared for wisdom to be gained. As we go into this new year, we are excited to share with you the growth we have encountered.

On September 11, 2001, 19 militants associated with the Islamic extremist group al Qaeda hijacked four airplanes and carried out su***de attacks against targets in the United States. Two of the planes were flown into the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York City, a third plane hit the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, just outside Washington, D.C., and the fourth plane crashed in a field in Shanksville, Pennsylvania. Almost 3,000 people were killed during the 9/11 terrorist attacks, which triggered major U.S. initiatives to combat terrorism and defined the presidency of George W. Bush.
