It’s a plant rescue kind of day!

My friend was about to trash this guy, but I couldn’t let that happen. After spending weeks outside in the cold Virginia weather, he was looking pretty rough, but I still saw so much potential!

I trimmed off the dead leaves, gave him fresh soil, and found a bright, cozy spot to recover. Now it’s just time, patience, and care.

There are two kinds of people when it comes to plants:

1. Rescue it and give it a chance 🌱

2. Toss it and move on

Here’s my latest little DIY project: a cozy air plant display! I’ve always LOVED these low-maintenance cuties, but I wanted a way to showcase them that felt warm and earthy. I took a wooden dough bowl and added plant hangers to hold them in place. Now, I can easily take them down anytime I need to water them.

What do you think? Would you try something like this? 🌿

Air plants are perfect if you’re looking for greenery without the fuss of soil. Just mist or soak them occasionally, and they thrive. So simple and so stunning!

It’s true! While they’re often confused, they’re actually two different types of plants. The one in the reel isn’t a Christmas cactus at all—it’s a Thanksgiving cactus! You can tell by its pointy, jagged-edged leaves, whereas the Christmas cactus has smoother, rounded edges. Last year, I combined three different colors of Thanksgiving cactus into one pot, and look how beautifully they’re budding now! I can’t wait to see them bloom in time for the holidays.

Don't sleep on the ZZ plant, y'all! 😍 This Chameleon ZZ is next-level stunning. Check out those bright pops of lime-green against the darker leaves — seriously, how could I resist? 😏

Found this beauty on clearance at (IYKYK 😉), and she's been thriving ever since. I keep her in bright, indirect light and only water when the soil is bone dry. 🪴 This might just be the lowest maintenance plant you'll ever own!

Not into these bright colors? No worries — the classic dark green ZZ or even the Raven variety might be more your vibe.
