💗✨ A NIGHT ON THE PINK CARPET! ✨💗

What a beautiful evening celebrating 10 years of fashion, courage, resilience and survivorship at the 10th Anniversary Pink Carpet Event Charity Fashion Show! 🎀👠✨

The runway belonged to some truly extraordinary women — breast cancer survivors affectionately celebrated as the Pink Carpet Warriors — who stepped out with confidence, grace and plenty of style! 💕 Some rocked their own fashions, while others modeled stunning looks from talented designers represented throughout the evening.

And we were especially proud to see our very own Dr. Marcia T. Leftwich take the runway as one of the survivor models! 💗🙌🏾 She looked absolutely beautiful and represented strength, elegance and the spirit of survivorship so well.

The evening was filled with so much more than fashion: 🎀 Breast cancer survivors celebrated and uplifted 👗 Beautiful fashions and featured designers 🎤 Performing artists and entertainment 🎁 Door prizes and giveaways 💕 Fellowship, laughter and inspiration

And just as we were heading out, we had the pleasure of running into Miss USA 2026 Justus Kelley! 👑✨ What a wonderful way to close out the evening!

A heartfelt thank you to Ann Singleton and the entire Pink Carpet Event team for welcoming Black Fredericksburg Radio and allowing us to witness such a special milestone. Ten years of using fashion to celebrate life, honor survivors and bring awareness to the fight against breast cancer is truly something worth celebrating. 💗

And a special thank you to our BFR team member Wonda Grayson for joining us for the evening! 🖤🎙️

It was a night where fashion met purpose, beauty met bravery, and survivorship took center stage. 💗🎀✨

Black Fredericksburg Radio got an exclusive look inside the NEW home of Themes The Venue, owned by Darlene Bright. 🖤🙌🏽

Darlene has taken Themes to the next level with a much larger location in the Massaponax area — featuring three separate event spaces, including a main room that can accommodate up to 250 guests and a smaller interior space designed for more intimate gatherings.

From weddings and birthday parties to private celebrations, community events and even future gospel showcases featuring nationally known artists, Darlene has BIG plans for this new space. ✨

And yes… we even discovered that this woman of faith has some serious carpentry skills too! 🔨😂

Johnny P. Johnson was more than an artist. He was an educator, mentor, activist, and visionary whose work left a lasting impact on Fredericksburg’s Black arts community.

This weekend, his legacy will be honored at the Harambee 360° Black Arts Festival with a LIVE AUCTION featuring an original Johnny P. Johnson watercolor — a special opportunity for a collector or investor to own a piece of Fredericksburg history.
