Brett Oehlke, age 37, passed away suddenly at his home from natural causes on the morning of Wednesday, December 10, 2025. He was born on June 14, 1988, at New London Hospital, the son of Brian and Betsy Oehlke. Brett was the proud father of one amazing daughter, Peyton, who was the center of his world. He graduated from Weyauwega-Fremont High School and went on to work at Waupaca Foundry, Appleton Acoustical, and later as a bartender, where many knew him fondly as the "Big Teddy Bear." The Fremont Invaders Snowmobile Club monthly meeting is tonight at 7PM at the Fremont American Legion, and everyone is welcome to stop in! Looking to become a member? Now's your chance! With fresh snowfall again last night and conditions looking promising, the club is hopeful for a December 15 trail opening. If you want to stay informed or get involved this season, tonight is a great time to join the conversation!
