I still wonder if knows what’s up there.

Of course the Empire State Building can’t escape the outset of legends from its storied past. 🌃

Completed in 1931, the Art Deco building (a design gem 💎) credits some ghosts to those lost during its construction. 3400 workers completed the building but sadly, a known 5 of them didn’t leave the job site alive. 🏗️

Sitting on the site of the original Waldorf Astoria, ghosts are attributed that pre-30’s past as well. 📍

One legend is most prominent - that of the ghost of Evelyn McHale, who jumped to her death in 1947. She was not the only one to make that choice.

In July of 1945, a Mitchell bomber crashed into the 79th floor while navigating dense fog, resulting in 14 deaths. The indomitable resilience of the city and the building had it open to the public again in just 2 days.

It’s the observation deck at the top, while looking out over the city skyline, where many reports of ghostly activity originate.

The view and the architecture are stunners. We’d like a ghost to give us a stun up there one of these times… 👀 👻
