Back during the pandemic, Kyle aka DJ Kay Rich ❤️‍🩹 | National Wedding DJ Specialist and I were working out at a park. I got on a machine like this l, tried lifting myself and said:

“Damn… it’s heavy foo”

Kyle: “Nah… YOU’RE heavy, foo.” 💀😂

We laughed way harder than we should’ve.

Years later, the moment recreated… except this time my son was behind the camera delivering the punchline. 😂

Same machine. Same heavy foo. New memories. ❤️

I found this handwritten sign on my walk today… and I couldn’t just walk past it. 🥹

A 13-year-old kid is out here hustling, trying to raise money to buy his mom a birthday gift. ❤️

I told myself, “When I get home, I’m texting.”

So I did.

And sure enough… HE SHOWED UP. 😂💪🏼

At 13 years old, this young man is willing to WORK for what he wants instead of just asking for it — and I respect the hell out of that.

So now I want to see if we can get this kid some BUSINESS. 🙌🏼

If you’re local and have a small job he can safely help with, or you simply want to support his mission to get his mom that birthday present, SHOW HIM SOME LOVE.

Sometimes you don’t need a fancy logo, website, or marketing strategy…

Just a handwritten sign, a reason, and the courage to put yourself out there. ❤️

As I restart 75 Hard, two years later, I’ve been thinking a lot about what success actually looks like.

And a thought hit me…

If you could go back 5, 10, or 20 years and sit down with the younger version of yourself and tell them:

“This is where we’re at now. This is what we’ve done. This is the life we built.”

What would they think?

Would they be in awe?
Would they be proud?
Would they be disappointed?

Let that marinate for a minute.

Now flip it.

Five years from NOW… where would you want to be so that today’s version of you would be proud of what you did next?

If I could go back and talk to that younger version of myself in Cantua Creek and tell him what we’re doing today, I know there would be disbelief.

“Wait… you actually made a career out of DJing? Like… for real?” 😂

But I think more than anything, he’d feel validated.

Because back then, I didn’t always feel like I fit the mold.

I wasn’t built for the traditional school system. My entrepreneurial mind worked differently. I just didn’t understand that yet.

And being able to tell that kid, “There was nothing wrong with dreaming differently. Keep going. It’s going to make sense one day.”

I think he’d feel a little less alone.

So as I start these next 75 days, I’m not only thinking about who I was.

I’m thinking about the man I want to meet 5 years from now.

And making sure the decisions I make today give that version of me something to be proud of.

Your past self is watching in disbelief.
Your future self is waiting.

Time to work. 💪🏽
