009 My Tiger
Today Thought
It comes from names. I have been a Tiger for as long as I can remember. There are different stories about where it came from, and I have had many names throughout my life. My birth name is Lloyd Dewitt Hays Jr. I've never gone by that mostly because I never knew the man before me who gave it to me. My mother tended bar when I was young in Seabrook, and one of her customers was Franky Laskoskie. Rumor is he was bouncing me on the bar and called me Tiger, and it stuck. 62 years later I'm still Tiger. However, I have acquired many names throughout that time. One of my favorites is paw-paw because it was my grandfather's name. There are others like pops, my oldest grandchildren call me, the younger ones call me paw-paw. even some that are not my grandchildren call me paw-paw for instance, we had a party and all the kids were playing here one day and two little boys came up to me and asked if they could call me paw-paw too. Nothing warms your heart more than confrontations like that. However, that's not the only name I have gone by. As***le seemed to be very popular and still is at times....
