I attended four different events last weekend and kept hearing the same comments about financial consultants. When I shared how we help people prepare for their financial future, the reactions were mixed. After some gentle questioning, I discovered five common beliefs that stop people from taking control of their money.

The five common beliefs that keep people trapped are:

1. It costs too much to use a Financial Planner

2. It’s for other people, not me.

3. I don’t understand and don’t want to talk about it.

4. I am embarrassed about my finances.

5. I don’t want to feel stupid.

Hello Members of The Wealth Table!

Inspiration can come from the simplest of places. The quote that Kimberly reads in today’s episode is from a perpetual calendar. She has read the quote for several years, but for some reason, it really hit home.

Watch as she talks about how she views money - there is a light in her eyes that comes from her passion for the subject.

How do you view money? What place does it hold in your life?

It’s those kinds of questions that shift your perspective and help you realize that money is a tool, not the goal.

What is your passion? When you have clarity about what fuels you, money becomes a tool. Just look at Scott Harrison, who created Charity Water. His life was rudderless until he saw a need and figured out how to fill it.

You are here to bring your passion to the world. It may be in your family or community. It doesn’t matter how small or big it is. What matters is that you give voice and live from the thing only you can do.

As Jack Canfield, the author of the “Chicken Soup for the Soul” series, said,
“You are not given a dream unless you have the capacity to fulfill it."

You have the capacity. Now go live your dream. The money will find you.
