UNDERSTAND THE FIGHT FOR WHAT IT IS
Many people have lost battles, not because they didn’t have the wherewithal to win. They lost because they didn’t understand the fight that they were engaged in. They misunderstood both the opponent, and the opponent’s reasons for attacking, and this misunderstanding cost them dearly. Wisdom is profitable to instruct.
Some difficulties do not show up, unless you are making progress. These trials come precisely because you're gaining ground and moving ahead. It's as if these obstacles have a nose designed to specifically sniff out from afar, any progress that you make, and they come to besiege you and thwart your efforts. It's a test. So understand the challenge for what it is. Don't be discouraged, only press on. If anything, let these problems be a sort of validation, a “Proof of Concept" of sorts, that you are on the right path.
Nobody beats a dead dog. If you had no light, moths won't be drawn to you. You must learn to read signals correctly. Glean the accurate discernment from circumstances. Many people are bemoaning situations that they ought to be rejoicing over, if only they knew.
It's the mother hen with lots of chicks that must be extremely vigilant, to fight off hawks and other predators that might attempt to rob her of her chicks. If her nest were empty, if she had laid no eggs, if she hadn't brought forth goodness, she wouldn’t encounter the threats coming her way. But her productivity, her success has made her a target. The brightness of her shine made her an unwitting mark.
Not all who come smiling are friends. Sometimes your fiercest foes bear the brightest smiles and bring the biggest presents. Don’t be deceived. Know why they come, so you can be appropriately dressed, so to speak.
Your arm can be long enough to reach, to attain, to defend, to procure, to protect and to preserve, but if your understanding is short, such brevity of cognizance can curtail your effectiveness.
Know the fight. Know why you fight. Know your opponent and his intentions. Above all, know yourself, and bring all that you have, all that you are, to the fight, for, there are certain battles that you simply must win.
Go win!
Much love,
Always.
