This is what happens when you ask the Lord to use you...
I jumped in an Uber to go get my hair done. Right when I got into Mohammed's car, God told me to tell him that I had been in the Army in Iraq. Of course, he said, "That's where I'm from."
I told him about my experience and how three Scud missiles lit up the sky like the Fourth of July. The Patriot missiles hit all three, but one didn't stop. It hit near us and shook the ground as we ran for the underground bunkers because we knew they were going to gas us!
We had a chicken named Henrietta, and supposedly if she died, then we were in big trouble. We put on our chemical gear and stayed in the bunker until we got the all-clear. Henrietta never died, but I have received two letters from the Army over the years stating that there were chemicals on those Scud missiles.
I told Mohammed how scary that was and how we thought we were going to die. All I could do was PRAY. 🙏
I told him that when I was twelve years old at church camp, they told me about JESUS and how God sent Him to die on the cross for our sins because we have all sinned and fallen short, and we cannot get into heaven with sin.
I asked Mohammed if he had ever lied. He said, "Yes, of course. Haven't we all?"
I told him what the Bible says about HELL—fire, burning, and torment for eternity. I told him that religion is a lie from the devil designed to confuse us. In order to get to heaven, we must repent of our sins and receive JESUS as our Lord and Savior.
I asked him, "What if your religion isn't the way? You have a lot to lose. You have nothing to lose by getting on your knees and asking God, 'Is JESUS the only way?'"
My God will show up and tell you, just like He did for me when I was 12 years old.
When I got to my destination, Mohammed told me, "Since I was a young boy, I was taught Islam, and I don't know any different. But I see this JESUS in you, and I know He is real. How do I get Him?"
I was shocked. 😲 Look at God!
I said, "Put your car in park, and I will pray with you."
Right there in the Uber, Mohammed repented of his sins, turned from his false religion, and prayed to receive JESUS as his Lord and Savior.
Praise God! He is sooooo good! 😭❤️
Pray for God to use you. The gate to hell is wide, and people all around you are heading there. Heaven is home for Christians, but while we are here, we have a job from God: to spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. 🙏
