A friend sent this to me and lightened my heart a bit… just got of Church with Lila and it felt so uplifting to be worshipping and around my pastor that always says the words I need to hear (not always the words I WANT to hear)

My bestie gave me a book for my birthday called “Live With the Things You Love” by Mary Randolph Carter, and it’s has reinvigorated my love of all the little moments in my home, and inspired me to create more.

Happy 4th!!! Doubt I’ll ever be able to top this 4th, but I’ll sure try!!

Woke up in Jackson Hole, WY and headed to Idaho Falls to watch Jaybird pitch in the 4th of July. I could do this life everyday all day!

This is my Saturday morning PSA:
Push yourself to do things that are hard—especially in your 40’s and beyond. I haven’t pushed myself in a while, so I signed up for the Speak Easy program hosted by April Pertuis

It’s a course/program during which you learn to be a certified speaker. We wrote our key note speeches, practiced them a hundred million times with feedback and then ended the program at a two day retreat in New Braunfels, Tx where we received professional videography and photography of our speeches!

It was effin haaaard because I REBELLED against writing it, practicing it, doing any of it. I speak all the time, but not like this… not telling my story.

But…

I frickin did it, and now I’m ready to tell the world.

Thank you for pushing me GENTLY and being a sounding board for all the twists and turns.

Thank you to one of my best friends in the world, for signing up with me. I love you.

"It's so cool that it's become this... beacon of hope." Preston Martin figured his retro blue VW bus was a goner, given that he parked it in Malibu just before the Palisades Fire broke out.

So he was stunned to find that the vehicle survived. Not only that, a photo of the vibrant bus taken by a photographer was circulating widely on TV and online, giving viewers a measure of joy. 💙 https://abc7.la/4hiLWwN

This is where I make my dreams come true. ❤️

I’m reminded this morning that great things take time, and hard things aren’t easy.

This garage has been my little lair since 2016, and it’s been ground zero for everything that led me to today.

Floods where I lost everything, nationwide workshop kits, thousands of subscription boxes, hundreds of classes, countless YouTube videos, hundreds of online bingo games, hundreds and hundreds of wall words, hundreds of shiplap signs, very early mornings, extremely late nights, and even epic ghost encounters— this spot is where it all happened.

After all the twists and turns, I cannot wait to sit in my little chalk painted captains’ chair and navigate the next 8 years.

The ride is what I remember and the only destination that matters is where I am today.❤️

I’m so happy I bought these for my husband for Father’s Day last summer! He’s been waiting wand waiting for the time to plant and here we are! More pics to come, y’all!

We watched the whole series, Growing Floret on discovery and have been inspired ever since!

Next thing to tackle… buying heirloom rambling roses for the fence and school bus. do you have a recommendation of where we should order them from? I don’t think y’all are selling them yet, right?
