WFWM Public Radio WFWM Radio is a public service of Frostburg State University in Frostburg, Maryland.

It broadcasts informational, educational, and cultural programming 24 hours a day to the westernmost counties of Maryland and adjacent areas in Pennsylvania and West Virginia. WFWM operates at an assigned frequency of 91.9 MHz, with studios located in the Stangle Building on the campus of Frostburg State University. It also operates a translator station, W242AD (96.3 MHz), in Oakland, Maryland. Ma

NOBLE SISSLE didn't make a whole lot of recordings during the Big Band Era, but, in addition to them being really good ones, he partnered with such early Jazz greats as JAMES REESE EUROPE and EUBIE BLAKE, and gave LENA HORNE the opportunity to make her first record. You don’t want to miss the Palace’s one-night-only showing of the famous 1977 concert film, The Grateful Dead Movie, which captures live performances from their five-night run at Winterland in San Francisco. This film is sponsored by WFWM and celebrates the four-year run of Dead Air on Monday nights from 1992-1996 and the life of WFWM radio personality Gary Wolz.

The film is will be showing on Saturday August 8th.

Doors open at 7p and the show begins at 7:30.

Tickets are $10 at the door and all proceeds go to support the Palace Sound and Vision Project.

There are no advanced tickets so you might want to come early. Ain't likely to be a miracle that night!
