Have you checked your beneficiaries lately?

Recently, my husband and I were looking into a forgotten retirement account and realized the beneficiary on the account was my daughter.
Was that the problem?
No.
The problem was that her name was misspelled. If something happened to my husband and I, this could cause problems for the executor of our trust.

Check your accounts.

If they have a beneficiary, make sure the name and Social Security number are correct.

If you don't have beneficiaries listed, make sure you assign one.

These are things that will help with your estate when you pass. If you don't have a trust set up, that's a whole other thing you need to remedy right away.

Earlier this month, my hubby and I had the privilege of witnessing the wedding of two beautiful people who are choosing to spend the rest of their lives together.

Their wedding reminded me of when my hubby and I first got married and all the hopes and dreams we had. This year we are celebrating our 29th year of marriage.

Since we were going to be in Temecula for the wedding anyway, we decided to make it a long weekend and stayed in a tiny home with the most amazing views and cool outdoor bathtubs.

Cheers to the newly married couple and to 29 years of our marriage. 🥂

For my hubby's birthday this year I surprised him with a weekend away that included a day at the races. He had no idea we were going to let alone that people were meeting us there. It was super fun to hang with friends and family doing something that and I really enjoy. I don't know if we were big winners or not but we're winning at life with all these amazing people that we call our friends and family. Cheers to turning 56! 🥂
