It is with great sadness that the LiveWire staff marks the death of Amanda Walzer, who succumbed to injuries sustained in a car accident on Easter Sunday. Amanda founded the online version of LiveWire, and without her commitment and boundless energy, the journal would not have become the platform for creativity that it is. Under Amanda's guidance, LiveWire became more than an arts journal; rather, it is a community, one aimed at fostering the arts as well as giving its staff members countless opportunities for growth as writers, artists, editors, publishers, scholars...the list goes on. The staff is dedicated to keeping Amanda's vision for the journal alive and wish to acknowledge the profound effect Amanda had on all those associated with LiveWire.
