J. Holland writes on his page that it was 30 years ago, on 10/30/94, that WAAX switched from a country to a news/talk format. Anyone remember that unique day in Etowah County history?

Today is the day for those who have worked in Gadsden radio to gather together and talk about good times. The event is at TOP OF THE RIVER at 7pm. Whether there are 5 or 25, it will be a great time to fellowship with those who love(d) serving our neighbors with music, news, weather, sports, and contests. The radio industry may not be the same as it has been in past decades, but it was good and valuable. Hope to see many friends gather together for a good time.

Our list of attendees for the May 4th event is growing. Adding Mike Hathcock, long-time host of Songs of Inspiration, as well as Rick Sisk and Troy Pennington if their recent medical procedures allow. Who else can we add?
