Due to Heavy Thurderstorms predicted this afternoon, we are canceling the Parade. The Ribbon Cutting will still go on, but will take place inside the exhibit hall.

The fair will remain open, and other events and rides will operate as permitted. The shutdown of the rides is at the discression of the Carnival Company.

Dog Intake Temporarily Closed

Due to ongoing kennel renovations, we are currently not accepting any dogs for intake. We anticipate reopening in September and will make an announcement once we are able to resume intake services.

As a municipal managed intake facility, we accept animals by appointment only and exclusively from the jurisdictions we serve:

City of Galax

Carroll County

Grayson County
