Story Time - The Making of a Moment
Captured a very special instance the other night. Mandy, our bride, told me in our planning app that she wanted Brent Morgan’s cover of “Everytime We Touch” as a slow song during the dancing portion of the reception. She mentioned in the notes that it would be cool to slide into the original Cascada’s song. Challenge accepted.
I wanted to make it a moment (as I do for everyone). I thought it would be cool if we I could transition the songs by having both artists sing together before the chorus drop. After sometime editing (matching keys, lining up the voice phrasing as best as possible, adjusting audio levels), I got it the way I wanted and simply waited the day of to find the best time to drop it.
Mandy and her best friend were out on the dance floor when the song dropped. They embraced each other as best friends would and then the transition hit. The magic happened and everyone soaked it in.
I hope it was everything Mandy wanted. I appreciated her trust in me to put this together and was incredibly grateful for the opportunity.
