2022 Papa Willy’s Rubber
Tire Nationals
General Rules:
1. All classes with more than 8 entries will have a two minute seed round
2. 2 Four minute heats for all classes
3. Top 6 will lock into A Main, last two spots filled with bump ups from lower mains
4. Batteries must be 8.44v or lower – if over you do not race!
5. All decisions by Tech Man, and Race Director are final
6. All racers must race from the driver’s stand
7. No walking off the driver’s stand. If you walk off in heats or seed round you go to the last qualifying spot
8. No fighting, or verbal altercations. You will be asked to leave and forfeit any and all winnings for the day.
Young Guns Rules:
Any 1/8 or 1/10 scale car or truck on rubber tire. ( No aggressive or pin tires)
This will be a breakout class – breakout time will be determined and announced on Friday before practice starts.
12 and under only!
SC Mod Rules:
Chassis – Any SC Based chassis(factory or aftermarket). Front and rear bulkheads must be on the centerline of the chassis. Aftermarket or purpose built chassis must conform to the following :
Minimum chassis width 5.125”
Maximum chassis width 7.0”
Maximum left side of chassis from centerline 3.5”
Right side must be a minimum of 2.25” to centerline
Electronics – Open. Battery must be mounted on centerline of chassis. (No gyros)
Tires – Any short course rubber tires (no pins). No cutting and gluing tires.
Body – 13” Max width. 26” max length(bumper to spoiler). 7.5” max height(measured from bottom of chassis)
Center Deck – 1” max rake and taper
Spoiler – 1.5” max height
Roof – 0.5” max rake (measured from deck). Max width and length 9”. No roof spoilers allowed. Roof rails allowed but must have scale appearance and be on both sides of the roof. ¼” bend down on leading edge of roof allowed.
Roll cage – no solid cages, must be cut the same on both sides. Window netting and rock guards are allowed
Nose – Nose sides are .250” max height. Nose cannot extend past the inner edges of the front wheels.
Sportsman MudBoss Rules:
Chassis – Traxxas Slash HCG Chassis only
Electronics – Stock 12T Brushed motor and stock ESC. Stock steering servo. Any radio and receiver(no gyro). Any 5200 MAH/50C Battery.
Suspension – Stock shocks with limiters allowed inside shocks. Stock springs. May cut front springs five rounds. Any combination of 2 black and 2 grey hexes is allowed. 4x4 Bellcrank is allowed
Transmission – Stock with the exception of removing grease.
Gearing – 16/90 or 23/86
Tires – Any stock Traxxas Tire. Tread must be visible across all four tires.
Body – Any production MudBoss body
*Other than the exceptions listed above, everything else is STOCK
13.5 MudBoss Rules:
Chassis - Traxxas LCG Chassis only
Electronics – Hobbywing Fixed Timing 13.5 motor and Justock ESC only. 1-30mm fan allowed. Any $50 or less street value servo. Any 5200 MAH/50C Battery ( no bullet connectors)
Suspension – Shocks must be stock from the box with internal limiters allowed. Stock springs. May cut front springs 5 rounds. No altering suspension in any other way. * No 4x4 Bellcrank*
Transmission – Completely stock with the exception of removing grease.
Gearing – 76/83/86/90 Spur gear with any pinion. No slotting to accommodate bigger gear
Tires – Banditos C2 or C3, Hoosier G60 M3 or M4, Phenoms D30,D40, or Clay compounds. Inserts must match tires.
Body – Any production Mudboss body allowed
*No weight added to the car*
Super Street Rules:
Chassis – Traxxas Slash HCG Chassis only
Electronics – Hobbywing Fixed Timing 13.5 motor and Justock ESC only. 1 – 30mm fan allowed. Any $50 or less street value servo. Any 5200 MAH/50C Battery ( no bullet connectors)
Suspension – Factory shocks with limiters and any springs allowed. No altering suspension in any other way. *No 4x4 Bellcranks*
Transmission – Completely stock with the exception of removing grease
Gearing – 25/26/27 Pinion and 86 Spur Gear only
Tires – Banditos C2 or C3, Hoosier G60 M3 or M4, Phenoms D30,D40, or Clay compounds. Inserts must match tires.
Body – Any 1/8th scale street stock body. 1” max rear spoiler from rear decklid.
*No additional weights added to the car*
10.5 Late Model Rules
Chassis – Traxxas Slash LCG Chassis only
Electronics – Hobbywing Fixed Timing 10.5 motor and Justock ESC only. 2-30mm fans allowed. Any $50 or less street value servo. Any 5200 MAH/50C Battery(no bullet connectors)
Suspension – Factory Shocks with limiters and any springs. 4 x 4 Bellcrank is allowed. No altering suspension in any other way.
Transmission – Completely stock with the exception of removing grease
Tires – Banditos C2 or C3, Hoosier G60 M3 or M4, Phenoms D30,D40, or Clay compounds. Inserts must match tires.
Body – Any production 1/8th scale late model body. 2” max rear spoiler from rear decklid.
*No additional weights added to the car*
Buggy Street Stock Rules:
Chassis – Any 2wd Factory produced buggy chassis (No Carbon Fiber chassis)
Electronics – Hobbywing Fixed Timing 13.5 motor and Justock ESC or Reedy 3300 system allowed. Any $50 or less street value ESC. 1- 30mm fan allowed. Any 2S hard case Battery(bullets ok)
Suspension – No adjustable rear arms. Any shocks and springs. Weights may be added in a safe manner.
Tires – Any rubber tire on 2.2 buggy wheels ( No Pin Tires)
Body – Any 1/10 scale street stock body. 2” max spoiler from rear decklid.
Box Stock Slash Rules:
Chassis – Stock out of the box Traxxas Slash 2WD
Electronics – Stock 12T Brushed motor and stock ESC. Stock radio and receiver. Stock steering servo. Any 5200 MAH/50C Battery.
Suspension – ALL STOCK – No modifications. No limiters inside shocks. Blue bump stops allowed on rear only. Hexes must be in stock location.
Transmission – STOCK with the exception of removing grease.
Gearing – 16/90
Tires – Any stock Traxxas tire on Traxxas wheels only. Fronts on front and Rears on rear. Must have visible tread across all four tires.
Body – Stock Slash body only
*This class is STOCK. There are no grey areas!
