Our Story

We are a newspaper in Gallup, New Mexico, that serves northwestern New Mexico, northeastern Arizona, and surrounding reservations. We deliver the top stories of the region.

Published daily except Thursdays, Sundays, New Years Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Single copy for 50 cents weekdays and $1.50 weekends.

This newspaper is printed in part on recycled paper and is recyclable. We recycle old newspapers and pay 1 cent a pound. Stop by the Gallup Independent at 500 N. Ninth St. in Gallup to drop off your old newspapers.
