We started in a garage. No, really - my mom and dad did. 🏠

And 35 years later, we're standing in front of our community holding the Galt Chamber of Commerce Legacy Award, nominated AND voted for by YOU.

Through every job and every season, my parents made it a point to show up for this community because this community has always shown up for us. Tonight proved that it meant something.

Having our kids there to see it? That's the whole point. This isn't just our legacy, it's theirs to carry forward too.

Thank you City of Galt, California for supporting us. Here's to 35 more years. ✨

We are still accepting registration for the 2026 CAMP SOAR- School's Out Academic and Recreation Program, a 9-week summer camp from June 8 through August 7.

Activities include arts and crafts, outdoor play, games, pool time at the Gora Aquatic Center, and more.

Registration for this program must be done in person. To register, visit the Parks and Recreation office at 610 Chabolla Avenue, Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM to 5:30 PM (Closed Fridays and major holidays). Program fees range from $45 to $165. Registration is first-come, first-served.

Please note: A completed registration form is required before your child can attend the program.

Leaving with diplomas in hand, 41 students celebrated their achievement this evening as family, friends and school staff met them with cheers and encouragement.

The City of Galt is proud to honor the brave men and women who have served our country. As part of this year’s annual Independence Day Celebration, we are inviting our community to submit the names and branches of service of veterans so they can be featured on stars displayed on our Veterans Float during the parade.

Each star will represent a story of service, sacrifice, and dedication. We encourage the community to participate in recognizing and celebrating our veterans.

One of the sweetest moments before the Liberty Ranch High School Class of 2026 graduation wasn’t on the stage—it happened behind the scenes.

As the seniors waited to make their grand entrance, they surprised beloved teacher Kellie Gorelick with a heartfelt rendition of “Happy Birthday.” By pure coincidence, Mrs. Gorelick celebrated her 50th birthday on the very same day her students walked across the stage to receive their diplomas.

The entire graduating class joined in singing, creating a memory that perfectly captured the special bond between a dedicated teacher and the students she helped guide to this milestone. A beautiful reminder that education is about more than lessons—it’s about relationships, encouragement, and moments that last a lifetime.

Happy 50th Birthday, Mrs. Gorelick, and congratulations to the Liberty Ranch Class of 2026! 🎓🎉❤️
