I’m trying some Amazin’ Glazin’ Fried Pies. I love these pies and the wonderful people who make them. They’re a local, family-owned business based in Springfield, Tennessee.

Here are a few places that you can pick some up for yourself.

Gammon’s Market (Hendersonville)
The Pink Truck Parlor (Portland)
Bernard Farms (Orlinda)
Hancock Farms (Springfield)
Historic Perk (Springfield)

Looking through my contacts tonight and found this. I don’t remember getting this number but it would’ve been nice to know it was there before Christmas.

Some people call me the space cowboy, some call me the barista of love.

Coffee from Pearland Coffee Roasters and a Sugar Land Space Cowboys mug.

My niece Kelsey got the mug for me as a Christmas present.

I got the coffee because I’m a fan of Brazilian coffee. I wanted to see how it compares to other coffees from that part of the world.

This is the French Fancy, and it was scrumptious.

It’s made with vanilla ice cream, strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, blackberries, Chambord Liqueur and whipped cream.

I took a side quest on my way home to visit Garage Coffee Roastery & Cafe. It’s always great to catch up with Dave and to enjoy his coffee and food.

My first visit to Harken Hall for the return of Music City Roots. It was a fun evening of music and seeing lots of people that I know. The McCrary Sisters, Rodney Crowell, Jim Lauderdale and Vince Gill performed.

This is a stellar venue.

I stopped in at Moby Dicky’s for a late lunch.

I enjoyed the fish and chips with a Briarscratch blonde beer. The fish was delicious. It had a light crunch on the outside but inside was flaky, tender and juicy. The French fries and hush puppies were the same way, a light crunch with a softer center.

This was my first visit and I look forward to my next.

First visit to Kiki's Kitchen, in Hendersonville. I had a great experience. I really enjoyed the food, service and conversation.

I had a smash burger with homemade onion rings and a strawberry fried pie. It was all delicious

I spoke with the owner for a while. She told me that they’re having a hard time right now because of the renovations going on with their building. They’re still dealing with the aftermath of the tornado that came through that area.

They are a local place, so stop in and check them out. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.
