The annual Levittown 9/11 Memorial Ceremony was held on Thursday, September 11, at Levittown Veterans Park , and was attended by local residents and officials as well as members of the Levittown American Legion Post 1711, all of whom gathered to reflect on the fateful events of September 11, 2001, and honor those lost.

The Hicksville Fire Department’s annual 9/11 memorial service ceremony, held a few days before the actual 24th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, honored twenty Hicksville citizens who lost their lives on that day, including former Department members Terrence Farrell and George Howard.

NY State Senator Steve Rhoads held his Senior Health Expo and Resource Fair earlier this month at Levittown Hall, where local senior citizens were able to learn information on how to look after their well-being and about different resources they can use or call to ensure their own health.

The Town of Oyster Bay is once again holding its six-week Toddler Arts & Crafts Program starting October 7 at both the TOBAY Ice Skating Community Room and the Hicksville Athletic Center, with classes taking place on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays at 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.
