Episode 4 of My People is HERE — and the drama clock is ticking! 💥

Marcus thought he was just living his best “single-and-unbothered” life… until Tanya drops a bomb: she’s pregnant, and she swears he’s the daddy. Marcus? Oh, he’s shutting that ALL the way down. But before he can strut off with that usual Marcus confidence, Tanya’s brother steps in and gives him a reality check strong enough to rattle his edges.

Meanwhile, Samantha is doing what Samantha does best — keeping folks from falling completely off the rails. She encourages Tanya to get a paternity test so everybody can stop guessing and start getting to the truth.

Margaret confides in her children that she might have cancer. She asks Samantha and Marcus to be there with her when the doctor calls with her test results. Margret tells them that they need to get along and stop fighting.

It’s a moment of unity as the three gather around the laptop.

When the video call begins, time seems to stand still. The doctor appears on screen, polite compassionate. Margaret grips Samantha’s hand on one side and Marcus’s on the other, silently praying. The weight of generations — all their laughter, arguments, and old hurts — hangs in the air as they wait for the news.

The results may change everything… or remind them that family is what truly matters, even when it’s messy.

Samantha Dalton is trying to get her groove back — or at least that’s what her best friend Michelle keeps insisting. Michelle finally talks Samantha into downloading a new dating app called The Genie Dating App — “the app that grants your wish for love.”

Meanwhile, Michael, her estranged husband, shows up with that familiar charm that once melted her heart. He’s talking about changing, about wanting to come home — and part of Samantha desperately wants to believe him. But trust is a fragile thing, and while her heart still loves him, her mind remembers the pain.

The episode moves between comedy and emotional truth — Samantha juggling modern dating disasters while wrestling with the man who still knows her best.
