Victoria lost both of her parents by the time she was 31, and running quickly became a coping mechanism for her. Since her father's death, Victoria has made it a personal mission to raise awareness and normalize talking about mental health. Last year, she ran the 126th for the American Foundation for Su***de Prevention and raised nearly $12,000.
“I could not have imagined a more perfect experience all around, even in the midst of the grief and pain of losing a loved one to suicide… Running has given me so many opportunities to meet people, work toward goals, and work toward healing my grieving heart.”
