The Christmas season is in full swing in Garretson, with events this weekend and next organized by the Garretson Commercial Club and Garretson Art Trail; the council dealt with financials and speed limits at their recent meeting; and local music legend Paul Engebretson will be honored this Friday in Lemmon, SD.

Note from the Gazette: On Wednesday, Dec 3, our family patriarch, Jim Moritz, passed away after a hard-fought battle with Parkinson's. He was a kind, loving, and generous man who adored his family. The Garretson Gazette will go out as normal on Thursday, December 4, but the December 11 issue may be delayed or canceled. We will update you when we know more. The Gazette office will be closed next week Monday and Tuesday. Thank you for your understanding!
