The action continues at SEMA. Over at west hall booth 52185 in the Las Vegas Convention Center, STEK is demonstrating its dry-application PPF.
"We've been working on this for a very long time," says Michael Honn of STEK. "It's bridging the gap between traditional vinyl wrap and just clear PPF. Vinyl is dry, PPF is traditionally wet. When its wet, you have to wait for it to dry. So this kind of changes the game."

Just inside the Las Vegas Convention Center west hall's doors sits a McLaren 720S. By today, SEMA day 3, it's on its third makeover in the 3M booth.
According to merchandising and customer experience marketer Kevin De Silva, a different 3M trained and authorized installer has re-wrapped the car each day, showcasing the company's print and colored vinyl films. On Friday, the public will be able to vote on their favorite wrap, and that installer will get a $5,000 prize.

There are plenty of interactive displays at SEMA, including at Eastman's booth (52051 in the west hall). Attendees can test their hand at installing protection film on side mirrors.
Eastman has also been emphasizing training and education this year, says channel manager Dan Birkenmeier.
"We've been focusing on getting brand-new installers trained faster so they create more value for our customers and for their businesses," he says. "For existing installers, we're investing in our training program to continue to grow their skills. We want to help them perform as well as possible."

The Las Vegas Convention Center halls are still packed for day 2 of SEMA. Over at booth 52079 in the west hall, Solar Gard has new products on display.
"We're excited to not only be launching new products like our color PPF Clearshield Pro Color and our Clearshield ceramic spray coating, but also working with partners like Tint Wiz," says Lindsay Webdell, senior marketing-communications manager. "We have a Solar Gard-supported version of Tint Wiz called Solar Gard Wiz [we're showcasing with] a game of 'Wiz Pong.'"

Avery Dennison has helped two young Make-A-Wish recipients achieve their dream of going to SEMA.
Sheila Victor, Make-A-Wish Nevada senior director of development, says Avery Dennison approached them and volunteered to help grant a wish. A few weeks later, "wish kids" Jakob and Cameron said they'd love to go to SEMA.
"It's so impactful when wish partners like Avery Dennison come together to help us grant wishes," Victor says. "We are so grateful. Without our community, we couldn't do what we do."
