"America Quietly Leaving the Church..." An 8-year-old child recently asked my daughter, “What is a church… what is a Bible?”—and she truly had no idea what Christianity even meant. That moment shocked me, because we often call the United States a “Christian nation,” yet all around us people are quietly drifting away from church and from God. In this short video, I’m not here to shame anyone or defend an institution—because churches are made of imperfect people—but to point you back to the pure love and heart of God, who is still calling His sons and daughters home. If you left because of pain, politics, hypocrisy, questions, or disappointment, please hear this: God never asked humans to be perfect before coming to Him. Merciful Father, we lift up Jamaica as Hurricane Melissa passess—spread Your shelter over every home and harbor, steady anxious hearts, and guide first responders with wisdom and strength. Be their shield and strong tower; as Your Word declares, “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble” (Psalm 46:1). And let Your promise in Isaiah 43:2 be their refuge: "When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. “Calm the winds, lessen the damage, and speed recovery for the vulnerable, the elderly, and children. Lord Jesus, surround families with peace, provide for every need, and turn this season of storms into a testimony of Your mercy.
Church, let’s keep praying without ceasing—for protection now and for courage and restoration in the days ahead. In Jesus Mighty Name. Amen
