Pet Of The Week: Spot is a sweet 4 year old, Shepherd mix. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped. Spot came to us as a special case with demodex mange (not contagious). He had not been taken care of and with the help of one of our local veterinarians his hair is growing back and he is becoming more handsome every day! He is good with kids and other dogs and he would love to be in his forever home. Adopt Spot at The Otsego County Animal Shelter.

Pet Of The Week: DOROTHY is a tan/white female pit mix with a lot of energy. She is spayed, up to date on vaccinations and microchipped and weighs about 55 lbs. Dorothy is about a year old and has never been taught manners. She is a Houdini and can escape through a small space, but she is a sweetheart once she settles down. She would be a great running partner for someone. She needs training and love. Adopt Dorothy today at The Otsego County Animal Shelter.

As many of you may be intimately aware, back in early April, devasting ice storms swept across Northern Michigan. The storms caused several broadcast towers in the region to collapse. One of those was ours. We were fortunate enough to continue operating from a shorter tower in Ga***rd, keeping us on the air for the past seven months, but only at 10% of our allocated output. This cut our coverage area from 80 miles in all directions down to rougly 20 miles. However, after a lengthy process in acquiring tower materials, having new antennas built, and wrangling with insurers... as of 7:30 pm this evening, we are finally back to 100% power from our original main tower location, outside of Johannesburg. We can happily welcome back those listeners from Cheboygan, Alpena and Petoskey who've been unable to pick up the over-the-air signal for what has felt like an eternity... but in reality, a was just a very long 7.5 months. Many thanks to our fellow broadcasters at Grace Baptist Church, who allowed us to temporarily transmit from the tower outside their facilities off Townline Rd. And thank you to our local business community who continue to place their trust and support in the station to move forward during this challenging phase. Now we can get back to being "50,000 watts of fun". 🫶
