Just finished this outdoor shower for a home on the Elk River. It was built from cedar using stainless steel fasteners and will last for many years. My clients and I discussed a few designs before deciding on a classic panel and lattice design. It compliments their house and provides privacy while letting in plenty of sunlight and fresh air that makes an outdoor shower such a special experience. Thank you Lea and George, it was a pleasure working with you again!

A recent build of a simple Shaker style cabinet. This was modeled after a piece my customer found online, which wasn't quite the right size and was a little too "distressed" but was overall a good design. This piece was sized for a specific place in the room and features traditional ball end hinges, hand cut dovetailed drawers, and a toggle on the doors which was a classic detail that my customer liked. It took some time to settle on the final vibrant blue, and it looks great with the decor of the home. This is a great example of how a custom piece can be competitively priced with off-the -shelf furniture, and the final product is the exact fit and look for you. Slab table tops made from sections of a maple tree. The tree had sentimental value and my customer wanted three tops made for her children. After thoroughly drying out the slabs (which took over a year) I milled the faces flat, removed the bark, inlaid walnut butterfly joints, sealed with epoxy, and finished with several coats of clear satin varnish. Final sizes were about 24" x 30". Thank you Lea and George for choosing me for this cool project.

Since the start of this school year, I have been teaching woodworking to the high school boys from Aquinas Academy, one of whom is my son Peter. This semester, they built a new altar for use when Mass is said at the school. It was consecrated and used for Mass for the first time last week. The boys did a great job! The Dialogue (Diocese of Wilmington newspaper) had a write-up on it too:

Recently built this mantel on a large stone fireplace. My clients wanted an electrical outlet at the front of the chimney but had no way to route a wire without it being visible, so they proposed a wrap around mantel with the wire hidden underneath. Our final design resulted in a clean, modern shape that complements the scale of the massive stone chimney and the style of the room. It was built from miter-folded white oak plywood and oak veneer, stained and finished in a satin clear varnish. Thank you Tom and Susan for the opportunity to build this for you!

A recently completed project in Chestertown. My clients wanted a custom built-in cabinet for their living room. The base cabinet with inset doors provides hidden storage for electronics. Full-length counter anchors the design, while adjustable shelving above allows flexibility in storing and displaying books, art, or collections. Trim details echo the existing casement trim to make it appear original to the house.

Recently completed custom butler's pantry in Chestertown. Designed and built to fit a corner space adjacent to the kitchen. The base cabinets have a bank of three drawers, which provides plenty of accessible storage. The solid cherry counter tops beautifully complement the black painted cabinets and pine flooring. I also installed dimmable undermount lighting to enhance the usability and overall look.
