Do you like your mysteries complicated? Here’s a review from Patti : “With twists and turns, you probably should read the previous two books in the series first. Doing so will allow you to get to know the characters, especially Rae Riley, the main character. In this book trouble comes to Marlin County, Ohio. Sheriff Walter “Mal” Malinowski, Rae’s father, has to deal with the trouble that comes to their community around Halloween. With a riding accident for Rae’s uncle, a family feud, a “monster” sighting, and more this book packs a lot into its pages. So if you want a YA Christian Cozy mystery, check out A Riddle in the Lonesome October by JPC Allen and the rest of the Rae Riley Mysteries.”
I never set out to write something complicated. I follow the flow of the story, what seems like a reasonable twist here in Chapter 5 and then what makes sense to turn the plot in Chapter 13. But I do pack a lot in a story because, first, it seems to make sense, and second, I want readers to close the book after the last page and feel satisfied, like you do after a great meal.
You can enter giveaway for two of my books, a $25 Amazon gift card, a mug, a variety pack of tea, and chocolates—a satisfying reader package. Paste this link: https://truthandgracehomeschoolacademy.wordpress.com
