The month of December brought well below average temperatures across much of the Mid-Atlantic region. Averaging as much as 4 to 6 degrees below normal. Putting impacts on energy costs already this early into the season but we are looking to see some relief on those heating bills over the next week. starting Tuesday, we flip the switch from being the freezer to being able to thaw out in a big way.

Current satellite this afternoon showing another hefty cloud deck moving in after seeing some piece of sunshine the past hour or two. Temperatures hanging around the upper 30s and 40s right near average for this time of year. By this time tomorrow, we should be about 10-15 degrees warmer.

A brand new week is upon us and we are starting it off with one more cooler day overall. There will be a persistent cloud deck around keeping temperatures into the lower 40s. But after today, the pattern change arrives climbing into the 50s and eventually 60s by the weekend!
