I would like to introduce everyone to the new owner of my radio stations. Meet Mr. Tim Thomas of Tim Thomas Broadcasting, LLC, who just recently acquired my broadcast group that includes WGTN 1400 AM and 107.5 FM and WPIF 1470 AM and 101.1 FM. We closed on the purchase just recently and I'm looking forward to assisting Tim on assuming the roll as a Georgetown Broadcaster. For everyone that knows me, it's been a wonderful time being the broadcaster that everyone has depended on for all these years, I really enjoyed all these years delivering the news, weather and of course, the music.

When NOAA Weather sends out a weather alert that something significant is going to happen with the weather, I always head to the gas station and filler up.

As a Broadcaster, I now have seven friends who live in Finland. My latest friend is Tuomo Vesala who is a carpenter by trade and lives in Kauhajoki, Finland and he enjoys Short-Wave-AM-Radio listening as a parttime Hobbyist. Tuomo sent me a message that he was able to listen and hear my 1470 AM Radio Station recently in Finland. I think that says a lot about how moving our tower to our new 5/8 Wave Tower at McDonald Road made such a big difference on foreign reception in Finland. I'll attach the audio file so everyone can hear what Tuomo heard, once I can figure out how? I think this is such a good deal. We finally found someone to do the Play-By-Play announcing. The Former Waccamaw High Coach Dennis Lee will be the New Voice on the radio on Friday Night's. He was Waccamaw's first coach, and we're excited to have him too.
