This was the first year GHS-TV brought back live broadcasts of football and basketball after a three-decade break, and what a return it has been! GHS-TV placed 3rd in the nation in the Live Sports Event category, competing among thousands of entries from high schools across the country!
This competition is provided by STN (Student Television Network), a national organization that supports high school students involved in television, film, broadcasting, journalism, and digital media production. Congratulations to our incredible GHS-TV crew, our athletes, and our coaches on this outstanding achievement. Hard work, dedication, and teamwork truly paid off. Go Red Devils!

The International Program at Germantown Elementary helps students learn about different countries, cultures, and people around the world while building strong academic skills and a better understanding of the world around them.

Recently, the GHS-TV crew visited Germantown Elementary School and recorded its International Festival presentation. One of the most exciting parts for our program is that this production was created by the newest members of GHS-TV — our outstanding Media Broadcast class students.

Congratulations, Juniors! Great job on your first big production!

What makes Euclidean geometry different from Lobachevsky’s geometry? One is flat. Straightforward. Predictable. In Lobachevsky’s world, everything is unconventional. Its space does not live only in parallel lines and straight paths: it bends, intersects, and breaks the familiar rules.
Human life has a geometry of its own. You can live it parallel to everything happening around you - flat and boring. Or you can bend the space around you, creating something new, unusual, and beyond the standard. And when your life and your talent intersect with other lives that are only beginning their journeys, something happens that we call a "spark of creation".
That is who Frank Bluestein has been, is, and will remain for a long time — unconventional, extraordinary, and impossible to imitate.
Thank you for being who you are. This gratitude comes not only from me, but from everyone whose lives have crossed paths with yours and who became stronger, more honest, and more worthy because of it. Happy Birthday, Teacher and Friend!

We are incredibly proud to celebrate honorable Germantown High School Fine Arts alumna Jackie Krimmel Jones !
Jackie began her creative journey at GHS working both on stage and backstage at Poplar Pike Playhouse, while also becoming one of the memorable producer of GHS-TV’s award-winning talk show “Crosstalk.” During her years at GHS, she participated in two international educational exchange projects with the Moscow Film School in Russia and the College of Media Arts in Tbilisi, Georgia — experiences that helped shape her remarkable career in entertainment and media.
Today, Jackie Jones has been recognized by Variety magazine as one of the most powerful and influential women in Nashville entertainment. As Senior Vice President of Artist & Industry Relations for the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), she has become a leading voice in protecting artists’ rights in the era of Artificial Intelligence. Her work includes advocacy against unauthorized AI use of copyrighted music, support of Tennessee’s Elvis Act protecting artists from AI deepfakes, and promotion of the bipartisan NO FAKES Act before Congress.
Her remarkable career continues to inspire students of the GHS Fine Arts Department who dream of pursuing careers in the entertainment industry.
Congratulations, Jackie! Your alma mater is proud of you!

The 2026 Fine Arts Awards Ceremony was truly an unforgettable celebration of talent, creativity, and achievement!
This year marked one of the most successful and exciting chapters in the history of our Television and Theatre departments. Our students were recognized for their extraordinary work both on screen and behind the scenes, on stage, backstage, in the studio, and in the field.
Throughout the year, our students produced outstanding news, sports, and entertainment programming that earned recognition on both the regional and national levels, including being named the Best Television Station in Tennessee by the Tennessee High School Press Association. At the same time, hundreds of audience members enjoyed our spectacular spring musical, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, which once again showcased the remarkable talent and dedication of our Fine Arts students. Our students also achieved success in Scholastic Speech competitions, earning numerous awards and honors.
During the ceremony, we proudly recognized the reporters, videographers, editors, on-air talent, directors, producers, performers, and technicians whose work has informed, inspired, and entertained thousands of viewers throughout Germantown High School and across the Mid-South. Many of our students received scholarships and awards of distinction and were inducted into the Student Television Network Honor Society and Quill and Scroll, while others became members of the prestigious GHS Thespian Troupe. These accomplishments are the result of talent, passion, discipline, and countless hours of hard work by our students and faculty.
Congratulations to all who made this extraordinary year possible. The future of GHS Fine Arts has never looked brighter!
