Single wide mobile home was fully engulfed in flames on CR 404 in Dime Box. Everyone got out safe. It started around 9:15 pm and was under control by 10 pm. Dime Box, Lincoln, and Giddings volunteer fire departments were on scene.

On May 27, 2025 around 10:30 pm Giddings, Lincoln and South Lee County VFD’s worked to put out a blaze of fire at Zoch’s Laundry.

The scammers have been busy this morning calling Lee County residents and informing them that they owe money/will be jailed for missing a court date.

This is a scam. Never send money to people that you can't verify. Legitimate law enforcement does NOT conduct business in this manner.

Traffic alert. Highway 77 between the 21 and Lexington is completely shut down due to a semi rollover. Avoid the area.

Avoid traveling eastbound on Hwy 290. Major wreck just east of Giddings. Firemen and law enforcement officers on the scene now. Traffic backed up to Giddings Plaza.
