অনেকেই জানতে চাচ্ছেন, সেপ্টেম্বর 27th এ আমাদের বাংলাদেশ বাইটস এন্ড বুটিকের স্টলে কি কি মজার খাবার থাকছে। তাই আপনাদের জন্য একটু আগেই জানিয়ে দিচ্ছি যে, আমরা নিয়ে আসছি একদম জমজমাট দেশি খাবারের আয়োজন। মিউজিক সন্ধ্যার গান আর আনন্দের সাথে সাথে খাবারের মজাও হবে দ্বিগুণ।
তো শুরু করছি বিকালের চায়ের সাথে থাকছে সিঙ্গারা, ডালপুরি, চটপটি, চিকেন প্যাটিস, বিফ প্যাটিস, চিকেন পান্তারাশ, মুখরোচক মুড়ি মাখা, পিয়াজু আর আরও অনেক মজার খাবার। মেইন ফুডে থাকছে কাচ্চি, চিকেন বিরিয়ানি, বিফ বিরিয়ানি, বিফ তেহারি, মোরগ পোলাও সহ সুস্বাদু সব দেশি খাবার। সাথে থাকবে সফট ড্রিংকস আর ছোটদের জন্য পিজ্জা, চিপস,চকলেট। আর শেষে থাকছে দেশীয় স্বাদের মিষ্টি আর কেক। সংগীতের মুগ্ধতায় আর দেশি খাবারের স্বাদে জমে উঠুক আমাদের সন্ধ্যাটা। পরিবার আর বন্ধুদের নিয়ে চলে আসুন, বিকেল পাঁচটা থেকে। দেখা হবে

Yesterday I finally got my hands on Smoke Rice Water by Kishwar Chowdhury, and I am beyond excited!
For many of us, seeing someone with Bangladeshi roots receive international recognition on such a big platform feels incredibly special.
When she competed on MasterChef Australia, I watched every single episode. Week after week, I found myself cheering for her as she presented dishes that felt so familiar to us but were completely new to many people around the world. Watching her talk about Bengali food with so much pride made me proud too.

Since I received the book yesterday,I haven’t had the chance to explore every page yet.But I couldn’t stop myself from sitting down with it and flipping through recipe after recipe.The first thing that stood out to me was how beautifully everything is explained.The recipes are detailed, clear, and approachable written in a way that makes you feel like you can actually cook them.
The last time I felt this excited about a cookbook was when I first got prof:Siddika Kabir’s recipe book,something many of us grew up seeing in our homes.To feel that same excitement again, years later, is truly special.

When I ordered this book,I was secretly wondering if there would be any mishti recipes in it.To my delight yes, there are! Yeeeah! 😍

If you love cooking,Bangali food, or simply collecting meaningful cookbooks, Smoke Rice Water deserves a place on your bookshelf.
And honestly, this book would make such a beautiful gift as well. We all have non-Bengali friends who taste our food and say, “Wow!” This book gives them a chance to discover the stories, culture, and traditions behind those flavors. It’s a wonderful way to share a piece of who we are.

I had the joy of hosting my friends and sharing some of my special mishti creations with them. It’s always such a joy to see everyone enjoy each bite. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do. Good food, good company, and sweet memories made the perfect combination!

One of my favorite customers recently welcomed a beautiful baby girl, and to celebrate the joyous occasion, she chose to share the happiness the way we do back home in Bangladesh, by gifting mishti to friends and loved ones. Seeing all these boxes lined up, ready to spread sweetness and joy, reminded me of a tradition that means so much to me!

What made it even more special was her kindness. When she came to pick up the mishti, she gave me one box from the order as well. It was such a wonderful surprise for me! My heart is full💕
