Tonight on The Halas Hall Hangover:
Chicago Bears preseason game No. 2 certainly didn’t go swimmingly.
After an encouraging preseason opener, the Bears took a step backward against Cincinnati. Mistakes, penalties, missed assignments, and a lack of ex*****on on both sides of the football defined a performance that left plenty to clean up heading into the preseason finale.
We’re going inside the game to break down what went wrong, what needs to improve, and which players still managed to impress despite the overall struggles. With the regular season quickly approaching, did this look like a team prepared to play winning football when the games start counting?
Then, we turn our attention to one of the biggest stories of Bears camp: No. 96, Jordan van den Berg.
The rookie defensive tackle has been turning heads on the practice field, and now he’s carrying that production into game action. Could Chicago have found its long-term answer at nose tackle? Could Van den Berg actually emerge as one of the Bears’ best defensive tackles already? And are we looking at one of the steals of the 2026 NFL Draft?
We break down Van den Berg’s rise, what he brings to Dennis Allen’s defense, and why the Bears may have uncovered something special in the middle of their defensive line.
Bears/Bengals reaction, players who stood out, what needs fixing before Week 1, and the emergence of Jordan van den Berg, tonight on The Halas Hall Hangover
