Brandon Sanchez, a 23 year law enforcement veteran, has been officially appointed as the city’s next police chief, succeeding Pedro Espinoza who retired in late 2025. Sanchez, who has spent his entire law enforcement career with the department, has been serving as interim chief since December 2025.
