The combined 10 frequencies of Commonwealth Broadcasting were on the air Friday night with severe weather coverage. We are proud to keep this community informed.
Over the past several days, communities across Kentucky have been impacted by severe weather and tornado activity. While Glasgow was fortunate to avoid the worst of the damage, our thoughts are with the many families and towns still facing recovery and loss.
I want to encourage every resident to remain weather-aware as we move through this storm season.
While weather radios serve as a great resource, the National Weather Service has announced that NOAA weather radio will be offline for a mandatory upgrade through Tuesday night. This means radios in Glasgow and surrounding areas will not sound for any severe weather warnings and currently there is a chance of severe weather during this time. Please make sure you have alternate ways to receive alerts, such as mobile emergency notifications, local radio, or TV apps.
Let’s continue to look out for each other. Your safety is always our priority.
