This week we’re shining a little extra love on two rescues that Valerie adores - and honestly, once you see what they do, it’s hard not to. 💜

🏕️ 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗽 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗶𝗹𝘀 (𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗬𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆)
Camp Happy Tails is a foster-home sanctuary for rescued puppies and dogs in NYC. They give dogs a safe haven, extra love, and time to heal until they find the right forever home — especially pups who’ve been abused, injured, or need more intensive care.

🐕🦺 𝗗𝗼𝗴 𝗦𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗱 𝗦𝗖 (𝗚𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲, 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗮)
Dog Squad is a shelter-less, foster-based 501(c)(3) rescue that takes on high-risk dogs - the ones coming off euthanasia lists or with serious medical needs. They specialize in medically complex, critically injured dogs and give them a second chance at life in loving foster homes.

If you’ve been meaning to help, but your December has flown by… you’re not alone.

Here are a few last-minute, big-impact ways to support shelters before the year ends:

✅ 𝗗𝗿𝗼𝗽 𝗼𝗳𝗳 𝘀𝘂𝗽𝗽𝗹𝗶𝗲𝘀 - Blankets, food, toys, cleaning supplies, and litter are always in demand.

✅ 𝗦𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗼𝗿 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗱𝗼𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗳𝗲𝗲 - Covering an adoption fee can help a pet get home faster and support the shelter’s work.

✅ 𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗮 𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗹𝗹 𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 - Even $5–$20 helps with food, meds, and daily care. Many rescues have wish lists or donation links ready.

✅ 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗶𝗿 𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘁𝘀 - Signal boosting urgent needs or long-term animals can make all the difference.

One powerful way to help shelters this month is to sponsor an adoption fee for a pet waiting for their forever home.

Here’s what that means:

You cover some or all of the adoption cost, so it’s easier for a loving family to say “yes” - and the shelter still has funds to care for the animals.

💚 Why it matters:

It helps pets get into homes faster

It opens up space for the next animal in need

It supports the shelter’s vet care, food, and daily operations

✨ How to sponsor an adoption fee in 3 steps:

1️⃣ Choose a local shelter or rescue you love
2️⃣ Ask if you can sponsor an adoption fee (or help a “long-timer” who’s been waiting)
3️⃣ Make your donation and let them know it’s for an adoption sponsorship

That’s it. One gift that changes two lives - the animal’s and the family’s.
