So here’s my review…
At this point in his career if he wants to be a little self indulgent “ constantly cute” writing a song about your new girl. Putting her in your videos. he’s got that right. Are there a couple clunkers on this album?
I don’t think so, but I read some reviews. Production is excellent. Some are saying it is a trickster album in the style of Ace Frehley . I even read that some of those solos are not Ace??? Does it hurt my feelings? Not anymore than it did when I found out he wasn’t on some of those recordings that I grew up with. I think he’s got a right to do whatever he wants at this point. All of his vocals to me sound superb. That’s right superb he knows his limitations, and he stays in his vocal range. Very happy with the production on this one. I enjoyed space invader, but not spaceman so much. This one here I might like as much or more than space invader. He’s never going to match his first 1978. Just because I drink the blue Kool-Aid that doesn’t mean I like all of his stuff. Like I said, I wasn’t a fan of spaceman and believe it or not,” anomaly” is not one of my favorites. Trouble walking now? You’re talking that album slays. But back to this one… I love it. I will give it five stars. I don’t hear the clunkers that people are saying are on here. I’m floored by the production and I love his vocal style. I think that’s what he was talking about in those interviews. I don’t know if his vocals have ever been recorded this good but what do I know? This is my opinion on the new album. I do love the new videos. Do I have any standout yes… So glad to hear back into my arms with proper production. I’ve always loved that song for many many years. Some of these ones on here I dig.” life of a stranger.” I liked it. And I like the rockers…“ up in the sky “ it might be the blue Kool-Aid in my system, but these songs sound like I will listen to repetitively. If it is a trickster album in the style of Ace… They nailed it way to go trickster. Especially stratosphere… If I would’ve heard this song without knowing , it is obviously, Ace. If not, great job, Steve, you nailed it 🤣🤣🤣🤣🎸🤣🤷🏼♂️💙💙💙💙💙💙💙
