ising, graphic design and website design. Jeremy is the video guru, he knows everything from basic camera functions to professional filming, lighting and editing. He also runs the tape transfer and dvd duplication side of the business, transferring old video cassettes to newer DVD format. Jeremy is also a Certified Court Video Specialist (CCVS) and a Certified Deposition Video Specialist (CDVS) and is in good standing with the American Guild of Court Videographers. After years of cajoling from her husband to “team up”, Rebecca joined Jeremy in 2009 as the Creative Director, bringing over 15 years of graphic design experience. She brings a new level of creativity to each video project with unique designs and creative direction. By combining their skills, Jeremy and Rebecca can deliver a higher quality video that exceeds their clients expectations. Our clients appreciate the value of professional videography and know that once-in-a-lifetime events need to be captured by experienced professionals. 2 Rivers is discreet, respective and unobstrusive. Grizzly Creek & No Name Drainages – June 9th, 2020

This drone footage captures the beauty of Grizzly & No Name Creek just two months before the devastating Grizzly Creek Fire of August 10th, 2020. Partnering with my trusted assistant, Charles Engelbert of Charles Engelbert Photography, we successfully executed multiple drone flights in this breathtaking area.

Through coordination with the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT), 2 Rivers Multimedia obtained special permission to fly in this section of the White River National Forest. At the time, Interstate 70 through Glenwood Canyon was undergoing road surface improvements, and our team was hired as a subcontractor to document the progress. These particular clips were captured as B-roll after completing our primary task of filming the roadwork.

Ironically, the Grizzly Creek Fire later caused massive mudslides, which destroyed sections of I-70 that had been resurfaced just the previous year.

Drone operations in such sensitive areas required careful planning. After securing permission to fly in the White River National Forest, our next priority was obtaining the appropriate drone insurance to cover potential property damage. From there, we meticulously planned our flight paths, checking for hazards like power lines and other obstructions.

Before launching, we conducted a detailed pre-flight inspection:
1. Ensured batteries were fully charged, undamaged, and properly seated in the aircraft.
2. Inspected the props and gave the drone a thorough once-over.
3. Checked the weather for high winds, turbulence, or precipitation.
4. Verified there were no Temporary Flight Restrictions (TFRs) in place.

Most importantly, we approached each flight with patience and situational awareness. Once the drone was airborne, Charles served as the Visual Observer, keeping the aircraft within line of sight and monitoring for any obstacles.

Being certified to fly a drone is crucial for ensuring safety, compliance and professionalism. Additionally, certification is often required by law for commercial use.
