Visiting historic dive bars, one city at a time. No fancy. No filters just real places and real people. Pull up a stool. HI! Now?

Sharing the stories, the history, the laughs, and the reinvention that happens later in life. My name is Kimberly- I spent 35 years working for a company I loved. It was family-owned, we were appreciated, and I truly believed I’d retire there. I even got the company’s logo tattooed on my arm. But then… everything changed. New management came in, and overnight our fun, supportive workplace became a

corporate nightmare. Micromanagement, stress, zero appreciation. The team spirit vanished — and so did I. Right before my 60th birthday, they let me go. I’m building a life on my terms — helping others who feel stuck, underappreciated, and just plain burnt out. I help people 50+ create second income streams online so they can stop worrying about retirement and start living again. No fluff. No suits. Just real talk, real results, and a whole lot of heart.

THE SECRET SAUCE IS CALLED GOOP, AND THAT IS ALL I AM TELLING YOU.
Out in Wheatfields near Globe, Arizona, the Hideaway Bar & Grill sits in a bar building that dates to 1978.
Locals remember earlier chapters here as The Birdcage and R.J.'s Roundup, and the place later became
Bernie's Roundup Steakhouse & Bar before Margaret and Roger took over in 2022.
Today it is a locals' hangout and biker stop with two pool tables, military flags overhead, a giant patio,
burgers with a serious reputation, and Margaret's not-so-secretly-named secret weapon: GOOP.
We met bartender Patsy, made new friends Jake and Taylor, Boom Boom handled puppy belly-rub duty, and
of course the Dive Bar Diva sticker made the door.

A HORSE HAS RIDDEN THROUGH THIS BAR... BUT SOMEHOW THAT'S ONLY
ONE OF THE STORIES.
Part 2 at The Huddle in Globe, Arizona is all about the people who make this
old bar feel like home.
We met Symphony and her husband Justin, Tim, Tom, Ben, Ed, Clifton, Ryan,
Tom Tom and manager Brian, who casually has one of my favorite bar stories
ever: he rode his horse THROUGH THE HUDDLE.
Then there's Porch Kitty.
Or Di****ce.
Apparently we're leaving that decision to the locals.
The license plates covering the walls were donated by regulars, the incredible
motorcycle hanging above the bar is made completely out of wood, and even
the bar itself got a second life after coming from an old bowling alley.
And Maggie Mae may be gone, but judging by her picture sitting proudly on
the piano, I'm pretty sure she's still management.
Add in a few ghost stories, two pool tables, great prices, happy hour Monday
through Friday from 3-6 and a room full of people who genuinely watch out
for each other...
and you understand why they call The Huddle a family bar.
Our sticker made the wall too.
So now a little piece of Dive Bar Diva gets to hang out with Porch Kitty forever.

If you've been to The Huddle, I want to hear YOUR story.
And if you spot a Dive Bar Diva sticker anywhere on your travels, take a
picture, tag us and include the city and bar name so we can repost you!

THERE'S A TRAPDOOR INSIDE THIS OLD ARIZONA BAR... AND OF COURSE WE
WENT DOWN IT.
The Huddle sits right in the heart of historic Globe, Arizona, where Broad
Street has been home to businesses, saloons, miners and plenty of stories for
more than a century.
This address has been everything from a clothing store to a grocery and meat
market to K & M Buffet before becoming the neighborhood bar people know
today.
Then manager Brian opened the trapdoor and took us underneath it.
The old stone basement still shows the waterline from the devastating 2025
Globe flood, and tucked underneath the building are sealed openings tied to
some of Globe's oldest local legends.
Brothels really were part of old Broad Street, and longtime stories say there
was once a second floor above The Huddle where ladies of the night worked.
And those underground passages?
That's where history starts mixing with legend.
Tomorrow we're going back upstairs for Part 2 because The Huddle has a
whole other story waiting at the bar.

If you've ever been to The Huddle, tell me what YOU'VE heard about what's
underneath downtown Globe.
And if you spot our Dive Bar Diva sticker, take a picture, tag us and tell us the
city and bar. We may repost you!

THE ROAD TRIP IS WINDING DOWN, BUT THE DIVE BAR DIVA CONTENT IS JUST GETTING
STARTED. Utah gave us a totally different kind of scenery, one more dive bar stop, and one more new
friend before we pointed the car west toward California. And here is the wild part: we now have at least
120 episodes sitting in the editing queue. Arizona, the Central Coast, Colorado and more are still
coming, one episode at a time. Stay with us, because there is a whole lot of dive bar goodness headed
your way.

Follow along so you do not miss the bars still waiting in the queue. And if you spot a Dive Bar Diva
sticker, post it, tag us, and tell us the city and bar name so we can share it!

FOUR BAR NAMES, ONE 1977 BUILDING, AND SOMETHING MOVING ABOVE THE STAGE. 👻👻
We stopped at The Trough and met our new friend Sheena. This big old room has been part of the nightlife
here since 1977, with chapters as Europe at Night, Thunder Pass, Spirits, and now The Trough.
Today you've got the covered patio, pool tables, red booths, a huge dance floor and stage, a second bar, a full
menu, and plenty of locals. But the stories after closing might be my favorite part. Flying wine glasses, things
moved overnight, and something making noise in the boxed-in area above the stage... even though they can't
find anything up there.
If you spot a Dive Bar Diva sticker, take a picture, tag us, and include the city and bar name so we can repost
you.

DAY 15 WAS GRAND JUNCTION FROM START TO FINISH.
We hit Wrigley Field, the Brass Rail, and Goat and Clover before heading to the Feisty Pint - only they weren't
open yet. While we waited, we met our new friends Sally and Sonya, and because Sonya is an Elks member, she
invited us into the Elks Lodge. That little detour turned into more new friends before we headed back to the
Feisty Pint once they opened, then finished the bar hopping at Orchard Mesa Cruisers.
The night ended at our cousins' house with family time and one very cute little scene-stealer named Max.
Today is Day 16, and we've got just one bar left: the Bearded Beaver in Beaver, Utah. After that, we rest up
because tomorrow we head home.
And if you're following along, don't worry - I'm still posting Arizona first, then the Central Coast, and then
Colorado. There are a whole lot more Dive Bar Diva episodes coming.
One last dive bar. Let's make it count.

DAY 14 WAS FIVE BARS, A WHOLE LOT OF COLORADO, AND ZERO FUR BABIES! 🍻
Yesterday took us from Craig to Meeker, Rifle and Palisade, with plenty of miles and some
incredible Colorado scenery in between. We met more great people along the way, but somehow
I didn't get to love on one single fur baby all day!
Today we're giving the car a little break and spending Day 15 entirely in Grand Junction, with five
more bars on the list. Let's see what this city has waiting for us.
And if you spot a Dive Bar Diva sticker somewhere along the way, post it, tag me, and tell me the
city and the bar so I can repost it!

THE BEER IS SO COLD IT GROWS ICE - AND THE OLD OWNER MAY STILL BE CHECKING ON HER
BAR.
Kapt-N D's in Apache Junction is the kind of neighborhood dive where the regulars know the stories,
the prices stay low all day, and the beer mugs come out cold enough to ice over. We met Vicki, tried
their famous little baby beers, got homemade moonshine balls from 15-year regular Darlene, met
Robert and 'Phil-dough,' and heard the story of Mama Mary - the longtime owner who may have come
back one night just to check on her people. And yes, the Dive Bar Diva sticker made the window.

DAY 13 GAVE US MOUNTAIN TOWNS, DIVE BARS, NEW FRIENDS, FUR BABIES AND A WHOLE
LOT OF COLORADO SCENERY. 🔥🌄🔥
We made our way from Winter Park to Fraser, Parshall and Steamboat Springs, stopping wherever the
road and the locals took us. Now Day 14 is sending us farther west through Craig, Meeker, Rifle and
Palisade, with five more bars on the list.
And while we're traveling, I'm still editing our Arizona episodes, with the Central Coast and Colorado
episodes coming behind them. There is a LOT more Dive Bar Diva headed your way.
