David Farmer is the winner of the Republican Party Primary Election for a seat on the Mills County Board Of Supervisors, according to unofficial results from the Mills County Auditor's Office. With results from all 11 precincts counted, Farmer received 624 votes, finishing ahead of Sandi Winton (531) and Peter Bencker (430). Farmer will be the Republican Party candidate for County Board Of Supervisors on the Nov. 3 General Election Ballot.

The Opinion-Tribune will be publishing a commemorative special section in May honoring graduates from the GCHS Class of 2026. There is no cost to have your graduate’s photo and information published in the section. Photos may be dropped off in person in the high school office (where graduate information forms are available) or may be emailed directly to The Opinion-Tribune at [email protected].

If emailing photo to the newspaper, please include the following information: Graduate’s name, parents’ names and the graduate’s post-high school plans (college, enter workforce, join military, etc.). Please note, the deadline for submitting is April 15.
