Dogs don’t count miles. They count moments. 🐾

Pearl may not remember how far she hiked today, but she’ll remember the smells, the sights, the time spent with her people, and the joy of exploring something new.

That’s the beautiful thing about dogs. They don’t care about expensive toys or fancy things. They care about being included in our lives and sharing experiences with us.

Looking at that smile, I’d say Pearl had a pretty perfect day.

What’s your dog’s favorite adventure? ⬇️❤️

🐾💤 Wellness Wednesday: The Importance of Sleep for Dogs 💤🐾

Did you know that sleep is just as important for your dog’s health as proper nutrition and exercise?

While we often focus on keeping our dogs active, quality rest is essential for their physical health, mental well-being, learning, and behavior.

🐶 How much sleep does your dog need?

🐾 Puppies: 18–20 hours per day
Growing bodies and developing brains need lots of rest. Sleep helps puppies process new experiences and supports healthy growth.

🐾 Adult Dogs: 12–14 hours per day
Active adult dogs need plenty of sleep to recharge, recover from exercise, and stay mentally sharp.

🐾 Senior Dogs: 14–18 hours per day
As dogs age, they often need more rest to support aging joints, muscles, and overall health.

⭐ Why a regular sleep schedule matters

Dogs thrive on routine. Consistent bedtimes, wake-up times, feeding schedules, and exercise routines help dogs:
✅ Feel secure and less stressed
✅ Improve behavior and focus during training
✅ Support a healthy immune system
✅ Reduce anxiety and restlessness
✅ Promote better overall health

Just like people, overtired dogs can become cranky, hyperactive, less focused, and more reactive. WOW!

Give your pup a comfortable place to rest, plenty of downtime between activities, and a predictable daily routine. A well-rested dog is often a happier, healthier dog!

🐾 How many hours do you think your dog sleeps each day? Let us know in the comments along with an adorable picture of them sleeping. 😴

You spend your day surrounded by wagging tails, happy faces, and dogs that can’t wait to show you what they’ve been up to.

This photo was taken after some outdoor playtime as we headed back inside for water, rest, and a chance to recharge before the next part of their day.

And watching a group of happy, fulfilled dogs trot back inside with those wiggly little butts? That’s one of the best parts of our job.

If your dog would love a safe place to play, learn, and spend the day with friends, we’d love to meet them.

🐾 Tip Tuesday: Be Tick Smart & Trail Safe! 🐾

Our DIG IT DOGS Let’s Go Walkers are tackling a 65-Mile Hiking Challenge, and with all that time outdoors, it’s important to be prepared!

🥾 Before you hit the trail:
✅ Use a tick repellent on yourself and make sure your dog is on a veterinarian-approved tick preventative.
✅ Wear light-colored clothing to make ticks easier to spot.
✅ Stay on marked trails whenever possible and avoid tall grass.

🎒 Don’t forget to pack:
💧 Water for you and your dog
🥣 A portable water bowl
💩 P**p bags
🧻 Tissues or wipes
🐕 A leash and identification tags

🚨 Safety First:
✅ Tell someone where you’re hiking and when you expect to return.
✅ Share your location with a trusted friend or family member using your smartphone.
✅ Keep your phone charged and bring a portable charger for longer hikes.
✅ Know your route and be aware of changing weather conditions.

🔍 After every hike:
✔️ Do a thorough tick check on yourself and your pup.
✔️ Pay special attention to ears, under collars, between toes, and around the tail.
✔️ Remove any ticks promptly and monitor for signs of illness.

A little preparation goes a long way toward keeping your adventures safe, fun, and tick-free. Happy hiking, Pack! 🌲🐾

A group of humans. A group of dogs. A whole lot of hard work. ❤️🐾

Pictures like this always make me smile because they represent so much more than a walk.

Every dog here belongs to someone who chose to put in the time. The early mornings, the training sessions, the practice, the consistency, and the commitment to building a better relationship with their dog.

The result isn’t just a dog that listens.

It’s the freedom to explore new places together.
It’s confidence.
It’s trust.
It’s friendships.
It’s community.

One of my favorite parts of our Let’s Go Walkers program isn’t the miles we cover—it’s watching people support one another, celebrate successes, and enjoy life with their dogs in a way they may not have thought possible when they first started.

Training isn’t about creating perfect dogs.

It’s about creating a life where you and your dog can do more things together.

And that’s exactly what this picture represents. ❤️
