What has been your experience with extended warranty’s? We bought this truck last fall from an AutoNation dealer in the Denver, CO area and with it purchased a bumper to bumper extended warranty. We can take it to any ASE certified repair shop, but if we don’t go to an AutoNation dealer, we have to pay double the deductible. The deductible is $300 at their dealer service centers or $600 at any other shop. This past spring, while in Kansas, the truck needed some service on the DEF system so I took it to a local Chevy dealer. They were able to get the repair covered, but I had to pay the double deductible plus some extra for labor since they charged more than the approved rate from AutoNation. Two weeks ago, before we left for this Colorado trip, that same dealer in Kasnas found Freon leak at the a/c condenser and possibly the compressor. Since I knew we would be in the Colorado Springs area for a week, I made an appointment with the AutoNation dealer in the Springs. Within three days, they were able to get a new condenser installed and do an oil change! It only cost me $300 plus the cost of the oil change! The compressor was not leaking. At this point, I guess I’m satisfied with the extended warranty.

There’s just something about sitting out in the mountains surrounded by pine trees that is so peaceful and relaxing! We certainly have needed this time to slow down and enjoy everything God has blessed us with!
