I love books but not computers

A little boy goes to his father and asks, “Daddy, how was I born?”
The father answers,
“Well, son, I guess one day you will need to find out anyway! Your mom and I first got together in a chat room on Yahoo. Then I set up a date via e-mail with your mom and we met at a cyber-cafe. We sneaked into a secluded room, and googled each other. There your mother agreed to a download from my hard drive. As soon as I was ready to upload, we discovered that neither one of us had used a firewall, and since it was too late to hit the delete button, nine months later a little Pop-Up appeared that said: 'You've got male!'”🤣

A friend suggested that you can’t die while you have unread books in your library

I prefer the idea that heaven is an easy chair, a continued filled glass of wine, all the books in your library and eternity to read them

It cerahinly beats sitting on a cloud playing a harp

Keep buying books and keep reading. It gives you peace and perspective.

In the last week There was a book show in Alaska featuring Crusin’ The Fossil Coastline by Kirk Johnson and Ray Troll, in Wisconsin at the Library of Congress National Book Festival Strange Fruit by Joel Christian Gill and there will be four talks in Colorado on The Light Shines from the West by me

Last Saturday I presented my new book The Light Shines from the West at a Denver Barnes and Noble and will be talking about it tonight in Niwot Colorado

Future local presentations will be at History Colorado, the Eclectics and 3rd third

In the fall and winter we will be discussing western history in cities around the West
