📢🏘️COMMUNITY CALL OUT 🏘️📢
As many of you know the police department puts on a program called Santa's Mail Stop. This program allows children to drop off their letters to Santa in our mail drop and our officers ensure the children receive a custom letter response back to them before Christmas from Santa himself.
We have the opportunity to read each of these letters and wish list before writing them back. Each year there are always a few that make us laugh, make us smile and even make us cry.
This year's heart string tugger comes from Macy ❤️
We have reached out to Macy's AFL mom and we want to make this year extra special for them. Macy is special in so many ways and we want her to know just that.
We have a special day planned for Macy as we plan to bring her a full on parade to her home to deliver gifts with an es**rt of the jolly Ol St. Nick himself next week.
Our hope is for the community to gather around us for this endeavor. The department will accept gifts and donations on behalf of Macy up until December 23rd. She LOVES to dress up and look pretty (all the girly things like lip gloss, hair scrunchies, etc) If you would like to go the gift card route then Wal-Mart is her FAVORITE! (they are "credit cards" to her)
We would love to partner with all of our local businesses and countywide partners
We are working on some things for mom too!
Share this with any and all that you know who may want to be a part of something truly great this season!
Direct message us with any questions or email us at [email protected]
Department Physical Address: 105 W. School St - Pikeville, NC 27863
(Our officers are not the best gift wrappers, if you would kindly bring them wrapped or donate your fingers and patience lol)
--- A Message from Chief Rodney Jarman ---
This time of year is meant to be filled with warmth, hope, and togetherness—but for some in our community, the holidays can be especially difficult.
I’m reaching out today on behalf of a very special young lady in our community named Macy. Macy is a special-needs individual who has experienced more loss in her young life than most of us could imagine, having lost both her mother previously in life and her father this year. She is now being lovingly cared for by her AFL mom, who has stepped up in an incredible way to provide stability, care, and love.
As a community that consistently shows compassion and heart, I’m asking—if you are able—to help us ensure that Macy experiences the joy and magic of Christmas this year. Whether through gifts, support, or simply spreading the word, every act of kindness makes a difference.
Our goal is not charity for recognition, but compassion in action. Together, we can remind Macy that she is not alone and that her community stands beside her.
If you would like to help or learn more about how you can support this effort, please reach out to the Pikeville Police Department directly.
Thank you for always showing what makes Pikeville such a special place—especially during the season of giving.
With gratitude,
Chief Rodney Jarman
