Louisiana shows its love and dedication for tradition year after year. Louisiana's Christmas Eve levee bonfires, which guide Papa Noël (Cajun Santa), are a tradition dating back to at least the 1880s, possibly the 1700s, revived in the 1950s, with large pyramid-shaped structures built along the Mississippi River in St. James Parish and nearby communities like Gramercy, Lutcher, and Paulina.

Allegedly, Matt Madere business owner of Ace Physical Therapy, in Walker was filmed harassing and using racial slurs towards a man fishing in a gated community while waiting for his friend to join him.

Mr. Marlon Cox, on behalf of many in our community, we apologize for the harassment and experience you endured.

A man was allegedly harassed in an Ascension Parish neighborhood after fishing in a pond.

WBRZ chose to blur the person’s face because, at this time, no charges have been filed.
