So this happened to me this morning and I brushed the web off thinking I was good. That is until the spider stuck his head over the front brim of my hat to get a closer look at who screwed up his handiwork. AI wants me to describe it next time it happens so it can identify it. Are you freaking kidding me, its a spider, that is all I need to know EVER!

It was last September when I decided to sell my home in Tucson and move to Texas to be closer to my son and daughter in law. While I never stop missing my friends in Tucson I have created a life here that brings me great joy. I was reminded of that last night as I watched the beautiful Cynthia ride and work her horse Maverick, in the arena. My DIL and I have built a wonderful relationship and tomorrow we get to celebrate her 40th birthday.
Today I feel like sharing a few pictures of my life here in Texas. There is Chad the idiot cardinal, my DIL , her horse and her dogs,The cutest donkeys down the road, me watching the moonrise on my deck in the hammock, the night sky, the road to home,sunrise, foggy mornings and our horses.
My latest scans show all is stable so on to creating more memories.🩷

My adventures were outside of Texas this past week. I visited with family and friends in NY and then we took a little side quest to Montreal. I had never been and want to go back and explore more, it is a beautiful city! We visited the Basilica, the Farmers Market, the Botanical Gardens and enjoyed wonderful meals with family. Thank you to Kathy and Tom for meeting us there. So grateful for this trip!

I was contacted by the company that makes the drug that has kept my cancer at bay for the last 26 months. It is a targeted therapy based upon my gene fusion, three pills I take every night. They wanted to interview and photograph me for a patient story series. I think it will be on their external and internal websites. We had fun taking pics all around the ranch so I thought I would share a few. That is my son Nate, these were taken about a month after his massive heart attack(he is doing great) and the dog is Ranger, one of his pack. Hope you enjoy!

Exciting news, we got ourselves a steam room! Ours is bigger than this and we have grass, not tile and we have trees too. You can look up from ours and see the sky and the birds. It is so big it takes up the whole yard, I feel so bougie. Sweaty and hot and sticky but bougie. Anyone else have a steam room as big as ours?
Oh and if you need me, I will be in the walk in, formerly known as the house with AC. 🥵🥶🖕

Yesterday took me by surprise a little bit. I went to get my Texas drivers license,which I wanted so I could register to vote. I had to "surrender" my AZ license, their word not mine. Surrending my license was another step in leaving AZ.Giving up the stupid little laminated card with the questionable photo that said I lived in AZ made me sad. It never occurred to me that it would, as I love being here with my family. I am enjoying the country life and feel good. Holding two opposite emotions at the same time is always interesting. Happy and sad at the same time so I am making space for both of them as my adventure is not just a physical one, it is also a spiritual and emotional one too.
My son Nathan Ramsden and my DIL Cindi Ramsden heard I was all in my feels yesterday so today he brought me a bouquet of flowers she picked from the garden. After he left I cried a little. A little sadness mixed in with a whole bunch of love will make a girl cry at times.
